Or “chwech” in Welsh, did you know?
Skip to 0:13 if you wanna know how to pronounce CH in Welsh, then rejoice as CHweCH lets you do it twice!
WELSH
One of those Celtic languages, like Scottish Gaelic or Cornish, Welsh is unique in the UK in that it shares equal prominence with English in Wales, unlike Scottish Gaelic in Scotland or Irish in Northern Ireland. This means you get wonderful bilingual signs all over the country.

It’s also a language where only a small percentage have a degree of fluency, so mistakes can be made on signs, for instance a store advertising a “wines and spirits” section had the Welsh version as “gwinoedd ac ysbridion” which is a lot more alarming, as that means “wines and ghosts.”
Perhaps the most famous mistranslation of all was this one in Swansea:

Council officials who wanted the Welsh translation for a sign evidently thought the email response they received was the answer they looked for. Sadly, the Welsh part of the sign reads “I am not in the office at the moment. Send any work to be translated.”
BUNNY DAY
Bunny Day recipe progress!

Now, I have the recipes for the hat and dress, and from what I gather, I get recipes for the toy, wand and arch from Zipper himself on the 12th, which means I still need 6 more recipes! Not bad at all!
I also met this absolutely ADORABLE bunny on an island and of COURSE I invited her to live on Halfhill, she’s wonderful!

Coco! In addition to her, I’ve also invited a deer called Lopez onto my island!

He’s apparently a smug personality, and I’ve never had one of those before!
So, current villagers:
- Diva (Uchi)
- Teddy (Jock)
- Bettina (Normal)
- Rodeo (Lazy)
- Bangle (Peppy)
- Coco (Normal)
- Lopez (Smug)
7 down, 3 to go! I’m lacking snooty and cranky villager types, so hopefully 2 of the 3 will be those! I’m not planning on chasing anyone off my island though, I think all my villagers are awesome and they are welcome forever!
OTHER STUFF
- Did I mention I’m the Pokemon League champion? I did? Well I still am.
- Have you ever had a White Russian, but instead of regular milk, you subsitute it for flavoured milk? You really should give it a go! Strawberry milk for Pink Russians, or Chocolate milk for Brown Russians! Very very good!
- Large pancakes.
- Last night the bf and I went out to get kebabs, because it was Sunday and thus everywhere else was shut, and honestly I felt like a naughty child breaking curfew to go out and drink cheap cider on a park bench (speaking from experience of course), but frankly it’s either that or starve and I know what I’d rather do.
