Roses are red
Violets are blue
This isn’t a fish!
WHY ARE THERE EGGS IN THE WATER
BUNNY DAY

I suppose it’s good that I am catching more eggs than fish now, because I’m actively trying to get the recipes and items, so I can get whatever the mystery gift our malevolent overlord Zipper will bestow upon us. Is it the true power of darkness? Is it just a fancy table? We simply do not know!

Here are the items I still need to make/get the recipes for, and as I make them, I remove them from the list. The clothes are going rather well, the furniture not so much!
Still, I can’t wait for a time when eggs WON’T be attached to the end of my fishing line or popping out of rocks. The bunny day stuff is weirdly garish for being pastel.
CHAMPION STEVE

Galarian Rapidash! Cinderace! Mr Rime! Golurk! Eternatus! Sirfetch’d! YOUR NEW POKEMON LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!
It has taken 24 years to get to a point where I like Mr Mime and his family, but Mr Rime? Based off Charlie Chaplin, who does clog dancing when idle? He’s so awesome!

He’s still a bit too creepy-looking as Mr Mime, but as Mr Rime? He can stay! Smack everyone with your cane and tap dance to victory!
I haven’t engaged with the post-game story yet, and I’m gonna have to fill out that pokedex of course, but Sword and Shield are really really bloody good, you guys. Dynamax? Hell yes! I like that it’s akin to mega-evolution, but ANY pokemon can do it, with select pokemon getting special Gigantamax forms. I also like that it can’t just be done anywhere, but in select important battles, like gym battles or in the league. I hated Bede when he was a smug wanker, and liked him WAY more when Opal took him under her wing!
I also like the little themed touches dotted throughout the game, like Mr Rime being Charlie Chaplin, like the bins or red letterboxes and phoneboxes being quintessentially British. Your Mom is your Mum, your rival refers to you as mate, Marnie and Team Yell are written with a bit of a Yorkshire accent, Circhester in Galar is basically Bath in Somerset, there’s even a bit of a Salisbury-esque location, which obviously appeals to me!

There’s also girls wearing bikinis in the snow, which call to mind the brave men and women of Newcastle, who fearlessly go out in sub zero weather in little more than these bikini girls! Basically, it’s VERY well researched!
OTHER STUFF
- I put the Call of Duty disc in the PS4 for the first time since the bf got it, and holy 90gb+ update, Batman. Looks like he won’t be playing that today!
- I am drinking a rhubarb and custard cider.
- FIVE IN A ROW! My gosh.
